Jazz 91.9 WCLK congratulates Clark Atlanta University graduates, their families, mentors and loved ones as they are celebrated at the Baccalaureate Service on Sunday May 15 at 10:00 a.m. in Epps Gymnasium, and Commencement on Monday, May 16, 8:00 a.m. at Panther Stadium. The 2016 Commencement Convocation orator is Mae Jemison, MD, physician, astronaut, engineer and educator. Jemison was the first African American female to conduct a space mission. During the ceremony, the University will award four honorary doctorate degrees to the following individuals: Clark College Alumnus and renowned Musician, Hamilton Bohannon; Musician, Educator and Arranger, Roland Carter; Congressman John Conyers (D-MI); and Georgia's Fourth District Congressional Representative Hank Johnson (CC, '76).
